Seventh Hour began when my skin changed after 40 and I couldn’t find the clear, thoughtful care I was looking for.
I was working as a lawyer and raising two daughters when I began noticing the changes. Makeup sat differently, my skin felt drier, and products I had relied on for years no longer left it feeling as comfortable or nourished.
I began researching what changing skin might actually need. My legal background shaped the way I approached the search. I kept asking what each ingredient was intended to do, whether the complete formula supported the promise, and where the evidence ended and the marketing began. Clear answers were surprisingly difficult to find.
I kept thinking that if I was experiencing these changes and struggling to find trustworthy guidance, other women must be too.
I wanted thoughtful skincare that respected women’s intelligence and didn’t treat ageing as a problem to correct. So I began working with an Australian cosmetic chemist to develop the product I had been looking for.
We're starting with a nighttime facial oil because facial oil became one of the products I most loved using at the end of the day — a small way of including myself in the care I give everyone else.
That is why I founded Seventh Hour: to create thoughtful skincare for changing skin, help women make more informed choices, and replace fear with care.
Restoration. Not correction.
